i learned the other day not to warm a cold pen (i.e. frozen) up on the wood stove for writing. i now have half-a-pen.

Hobo: As it turns out, one of the members of my band did the exact same thing. Melted a tea kettle, mind you, not a pen. Melting a pen is downright silly.
